In the summer, the sky begins to turn from blue and clear to a dark, tangerine color. I think this is because the sun begins to set and, as a result, the north side of the sun begins to set as well. The north side is the side that is still warm from the sun and is also the side of the sun that reaches its peak during the day.
As you can see from the image above, the south side of the sun is still at its peak for the day. This means that, while the sky is actually changing color, the sun’s peak is still on the south side. Of all the things that we’ve discussed in this series, this is possibly the most important one.
